Understanding dashboard forecasts

The Dashboard can show Forecasted Commission and Forecasted Revenue alongside actual performance information. Treat forecast-labelled values as estimates for planning, not as approved commissions or financial records.

This guide is for administrators, authorised Finance users, and managers with access to the relevant Dashboard.

Before reviewing a forecast, confirm that you know:

  • The selected period and organisational scope
  • The organisation’s default currency
  • The latest source-data refresh time
  • Which schemes and assignments are effective for that period
  1. Open Dashboard.
  2. Select Today, Week, Month, All, or Custom.
  3. Locate the card labelled Forecasted Commission or Forecasted Revenue.
  4. Record the card label, period, scope, currency, and time of review.
  5. Keep the forecast separate from cards and reports that show actual results.
  6. Check the latest source-data refresh and confirm that expected transactions are present.
  7. Confirm that the relevant employee assignments and scheme dates cover the selected period.
  8. Compare available actual values with a detailed standard report using the same filters.
  9. If the forecast appears surprising, review the source data, assignment, and scheme logic before escalating.
  10. Use a forecast to support planning only. Complete the normal calculation, review, reconciliation, and approval process for financial decisions.

You can describe the forecast with its period, scope, currency, and freshness, without confusing it with an actual or approved amount.

Verification required: The forecast algorithm, assumptions, confidence level, and update cadence were not available during product review.

  • No standalone Forecasting page was found.
  • Forecast cards, scheme Historical Replay, and the AI Impact Simulator (AIS) are separate observed surfaces. AIS checks schemes against historical months to show their potential impact; do not assume it uses the same method as Dashboard forecasts or Historical Replay.
  • A forecast is not evidence that a payout was approved or paid.

A forecast is an estimate. First confirm that you are comparing the same period, scope, currency, and data-refresh state.

The forecast does not change after new data arrives

Confirm that the source sync completed, then reopen or refresh the view after the expected data window. The precise forecast refresh behaviour still requires product confirmation.

Use the organisation currency and an authoritative report. Do not make a financial decision from a value whose currency is unresolved.
